Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sh. Milandhoo Council on 26 May, 2016 to conduct tourism related TVET programs in the area. The MoU signing ceremony was held at SHE Building seminar room.

While Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham signed on behalf of Ministry of Education, President of the council Mr. Abdulla Faiz Hassan signed on behalf of Milandhoo Council. In arranging the collaborative initiative, MP of Milandhoo constituency Mr. Hassan Mufeed Abdul Gadhir played an important role. Milandhoo Council agreed to recruit 1000 students for TVET tourism programs.
